About Festival of India (FOI)
The Festival of India (FOI) is the flagship annual cultural celebration organized by the India American Cultural Association (IACA), one of the oldest Indian-American nonprofit organizations in Georgia. The festival was launched in 1997 and has grown into one of the largest celebrations of Indian culture in the southeastern United States.
The festival showcases India’s rich cultural heritage while strengthening ties between the Indian-American community and the broader American public. It serves as a platform for cultural exchange, community engagement, and celebration of India’s diversity.
On its 30th year, while we celebrate the 79th anniversary of India’s independence, we will also celebrate the 250th anniversary of USA’s independence through our cultural programs.
General Rules
IMPORTANT: All entries in the NON-COMPETITIVE category will be required to appear for In-Person Audition at the IACA Auditorium, 1281 Cooper Lake Rd SE, Smyrna, GA 30082. Audition Date and Time-slots will be communicated at an appropriate time.
- Minimum number of participants in your group: 4 (four)
- Your group can enter only ONCE. If you submit multiple forms the first entry will be considered.
- The theme of your performance must represent Indian culture and its regions.
- Your team’s performance video (YouTube/Vimeo/Video File) is required for pre-audition. (This must be the same item you are planning to present. The video may be from a rehearsal or a stage performance.) Video/Video link must be sent by email to foicultural@iacaatl.org with your group’s name in the subject line. Deadline to send pre-audition video: July 11, 2026.
- The setup/take down of the props should not exceed 2 minutes.
- Confetti, Smog/Smoke machines or artifact that may leave residue on stage or trigger fire alarms are strictly prohibited.
- Audition time is 3 minutes (maximum).
- If selected, the event day performance cannot exceed 5 minutes.
- In all cases, the decision of the judges’ panel is final.
