Who we are?
India American Cultural Association, Inc. (herein after referred to as IACA) is a nonprofit organization under IRS Code 501(c)(3). Our website address is: https://www.iacaatl.org. IACA maintains strict data privacy policies to protect the integrity and privacy of personal information gathered from our members, donor, business partners, volunteers, supporters and visitors through all of our communication channels, as well as from visitors to our Website and those who make payments through our website.
IACA does not sell, exchange or rent your personal information to any organization or individual. We will not divulge personal information to any other organization or individual other than that necessary to transact, fulfill and or account for online payments that you have authorized.
IACA does not share your information with telemarketing centers. We do not use telephone marketing to solicit funds. IACA will only use your phone number if we need to verify information or to thank you for your contribution, ask for your opinion, request your assistance, or to share time-sensitive information, such as an emergency meeting.
What information do we collect
When you make a payment, attend an event, submit membership information or volunteer with IACA, we may ask for information such as your name, address, email address, phone number and other relevant information.
IACA uses cookies to facilitate authentication and personalization across our web systems. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your Web browser from a Web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. IACA uses only anonymous information (such as IP address) to track how our online visitors use our website. This data is sometimes stored using cookies.
How do we use your information?
IACA uses personally identifiable information you provide about yourself:

- To send you a receipt for your payments
- To send you a thank you note for making a payment/donation, sponsoring an event or volunteering.

IACA uses non-identifying basic information (aggregate data) to analyze site use and to improve the content and design of the site. IACA may share aggregate data such as how many people attended an event, how many volunteers, average donation amount etc. with sponsors and partners. These statistics will not include any personally identifying information.
IACA will not use personal information in any way other than described in this policy. IACA requires employees, volunteers, and contractors who have access to personal information to protect information consistent with this privacy policy. Exceptions to these, as stated above, are limited to sharing personal information to cooperate with law enforcement officials.
Opt-Out
IACA provides multiple ways to opt out of receiving additional information from us about the projects we support or fundraising events. You can uncheck the boxes or select the option “No” when such information is collected.
You can also opt out of the email updates by clicking the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of each email or contacting us directly.
Do Not Track
If you enable the Do Not Track setting in your browser, we won’t record your visit to our website and the third-party cookies on our pages will be disabled.
Security
IACA is committed to ensuring that any personal information we collect is secure. Our website use Transport Layer Security (TLS), the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser to ensure data passed between the web server and browsers remain private. All online payments are handled by Payment Card Industry (PCI)-compliant vendors. PCI refers to the technical and operational standards that businesses must follow to ensure that credit card data provided by cardholders is protected.
Credit Card Security
When you make a payment to IACA online, your credit card information is secured by a reputable security company. Also, your credit card number is used only for that particular transaction and is not stored. If you allow us to store your credit card or bank information for future use such as recurring donation, such information will be stored by the payment services financial institution. IACA only uses financial institutions that adhere to the industry standards for storing such information.
Third-Party Services
This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any site or service to which the IACA website link. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us. In addition, we are not responsible for the information collection, use, disclosure, or security practices (including the data security practices) of other organizations, such as Facebook, Apple, Google, or any other app developer, app provider, social media platform provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider, or device manufacturer.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
IACA may from time to time and at its discretion amend this Privacy Policy. The “Effective Date” legend at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the IACA website following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
No liability
The security measures we take may not prevent all loss, misuse or alteration of information on the site. IACA is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to such security failures. Unauthorized third parties may access data and communications, including email, when communicated via the Internet. IACA web site includes links to other web sites. IACA cannot ensure the privacy practices of other such sites.
