Recognize Mental health in children & young adults; understand the approaches to mental health and well-being rooted in developmental neuroscience and cognitive psychology; it’s implications & effects on families and adulthood.
Dr. Saumya Dave: A writer, psychiatrist, and mental health advocate, her debut novel, Well-Behaved Indian Women, was released from Berkley/ Penguin Random House and featured in Elle, The New York Times, Today with Hoda and Jenna, and more. Dr. Dave has written for The New York Times, ABC News, Refinery 29, and others. She and her husband co-founded thisisforHER, a nonprofit that uses art therapy to improve mental health awareness, education for women and girls. She is a practicing therapist and an Adjunct Professor at Mount Sinai. She lives in New York City with her husband and son.
Sucheta Kamat: is an entrepreneur whose patented digital curriculum ExQ® is innovating personalized leaning in the Ed-Tech space. She is an award-winning speech-language pathologist, TEDx speaker, and sought-after thought-leader on the topic of Executive Function and Executive Function training in kids & and adults. As a host of the Podcast Full PreFrontal: Exposing the Mystery of Executive Function, Sucheta has interviewed more than 140 neuroscientists, researchers, educational leaders, journalists and industry experts on the topic of thinking about thinking and learning how to learn. Finally, as a community leader, she serves on many boards and runs a volunteer communication and job-entry program for the homeless and previously convicted in our local community.
Dr. Suvrat Bhargave (Dr. B): A renowned educator, speaker, and board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. B specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. His book, A Moment of Insight, shines spotlight on our collective wounds through patient stories and personal accounts taking the reader on a journey to calm the mind, fortify the spirit, and release the burdens of life. With residency training and specialty fellowship from Duke University, Dr. B s compelled to bring a world of change to each person a single person or an audience of listeners one moment at a time.
RITU BANSAL has worked in healthcare management, fashion, interior design, and film / TV production. Ritu graduated with Masters in fashion design from SCAD. She creates sustainable and forward thinking art and living spaces through her design company ‘Ritu B’. She has designed costumes, sets for films, & special exhibits for Atlanta museums. She is passionate about bringing authenticity to art with research and innovation. She has been very active in several political organizations including Forward Together, Fair Fight, and The Georgia Postcard Project.
