Art of Writing From the Heart

Anjali Enjeti: Former attorney, activist, and award-winning journalist, her collection of essays, Southbound: Essays on Identity, Inheritance, and Social Change, and debut novel The Parted Earth will be published in the spring of 2021. Her writing has appeared in the AJC, Washington Post, Al Jazeera, The Nation, among others. She was the winner of the inaugural Fourth Estate Fellowship at Sundress Academy for the Arts, has been awarded residencies at The Hambidge Center and Wildacres. She teaches creative nonfiction in the MFA program at Reinhardt University.

Kiran Bhat: A global citizen from Atlanta, he has currently traveled to over 130 countries, lived in 18, and speaks 12 languages. Author of We, of the forsaken world, (Iguana Books, 2020), he has authored books in four foreign languages, and has had his writing published in The Kenyon Review, The Brooklyn Rail, The Colorado Review, Eclectica, 3AM Magazine, The Radical Art Review, The Chakkar, Cha, Mascara Literary Review, among others. RITU BANSAL has worked in healthcare management, fashion, interior design, and film / TV production.  After spending 12 years working in the medical industry, Ritu pursued a Masters in fashion design at SCAD. Now, she creates sustainable and forward-thinking art and living spaces through her design company ‘Ritu B’. She has designed costumes and designed sets for films in addition to designing special exhibits for Atlanta museums. She is passionate about bringing authenticity to art with research and innovation. Most recently, she has been very active in several political organizations including Forward Together, Fair Fight, and The Georgia Postcard Project.
