Subash Razdan receives Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award

It is a matter of pride to Atlanta as one of its citizens, Mr. Subash Razdan has been conferred with the highest award to Non Resident Indians (NRIs) from the honorable President of India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee. This is a recognition in the area of outstanding public service. Subash, a Kashmiri Pundit is one of the 15 distinguished awardees including among others, the president of Mauritius, Rajkeswur Purryag, whose parents immigrated from erstwhile Bihar. This outstanding achievement award was presented to Subash during Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, at Kochi in the state of Kerala, India. Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) is celebrated on January 9 every year to mark the contribution of overseas Indian community in the development of India. The ministry of External Affairs, Government of India is the organizer of this event.
Subash Razdan graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and moved to USA. He is a distinguished engineer and a well known community leader. He was the past president of IACA, founder and president of Gandhi Foundation USA, Atlanta Asian American Association, National Federation of Indian Associations, Kashmiri Association and a producer of popular “Namaste Bombay” TV show in Atlanta for several decades. His special contribution to Asian and Indian senior citizens are noteworthy.

The new year started with a good news. We are proud of our leader and hero of the Asian community in Atlanta – USA.
Undoubtedly, this is an well earned acknowledgement and Subash deserves it from all aspects of his dedicated service not only to Indian community but much beyond that. I would certainly like to congratulate Raj who equally shares this pride and successful journey of excellence.
