It was a relaxing day watching the superb performance of Run For Your Wife drama enacted by our good friends at IACA this Saturday Feb 2nd, 2013.
It is Ray Connie’s hilarious story of London cab driver, John Smith, with two wives, two lives and a very precise schedule for juggling them both.. Trouble brews when Smith is mugged and ends up in hospital, where both of his addresses surface, causing the police to investigate. Having upset his schedule, Smith becomes hopelessly entangled in his attempts with his lazy layabout neighbor, to explain himself to his wives and two suspicious police officers – This story was ably adapted to a drama, produced and directed by Shyam Yellamraju. The incredible backstage volunteers Padma, Ramakanth, Krishnaveni, Laxmi Vedala, Satluru and others were behind the scene making all the arrangements for the event to be a grand success!

Swamiji’s name stands for his teachings and the incredible power of the wisdom of our heritage. In the words of Swamiji it is time to “ARISE! AWAKE! AND STOP NOT TILL THE GOAL IS REACHED”. Attend this event to have a lasting impact and to expand the horizon beyond our limitations as illustrated in “Koopa Manduka”, a little frog caught in a well which had never seen the vastness of the ocean. Check the enclosed video and Swamji’s audio track for details of how he beautifully narrates this story at the Chicago Parliament of Religions in 1893.
IACA is supporting this great cause in uplifting the rural and tribal poor students of India by joining hands with Aim For Seva, a non-profit organization that runs 93 charitable student homes in 14 states. Each student home provides the right environment for studies and reduces drop out rates in schools. Famous movie actress Sana appearing in Bollywood movies. According to UK Telegraph the use of satellite channels are on the rise in Pakistan ever since popular Indian cable channels are banned. Here is what some men had to say “It is Pakistani girls who are nagging their husbands and fathers, They love the dramas, the soap operas and say they won’t cook until they can watch the programmes again. They are addicted to Indian channels and can no longer think about life without them”
Superstar Rajanikanth in “Endhiran”, the most expensive movie made in India. It costed approx Rs. 200 crores, much more than any other Bollywood Hindi movies. SUN Network is expected to recoupe Rs. 500 Crores within a week. I can’t believe this man was a bus conductor, cracking jokes and shoving commuters on Bangalore Majestic to Srinagar route (Bus no. 36, route 10A back then) while my sister-in-law was traveling the same bus in her high school days.
